While strongly still focused on the funk, Danny Goldstone always had a knack and awareness for keeping with the times, but in an authentic way. Lite Year’s 12” release “Do The Funky Dog” checked all those modern funk boxes for the time. Even now it slaps! And it was complete with what could be best described as a“public cable access-esque video” to match. Also something that was on the cutting edge at the time.
